About Frank Pletinckx



Due to a passion for art and guns, his training to be a gun engraver

was obvious, finishing the apprenticeship in the FN Browning

engraving workshop in Liège, Belgium in the year 1999

He studied later on under absolute master engravers

Rocco Capecce, Jean Diet, Martin Strolz and Vivian Mueller.

He has proudly worked now for more than 10 years

in Switzerland as master engraver at the world renowned

House of Mueller Murgenthal.

over 400 Objet's of Vertu and 2800 fine arms to date. They produce for a very exclusive client list

that includes Buckingham Palace, The Sultanate of Brunei, The Sultanate of Oman,

HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed al Nahyan (Abu Dhabi),The Trump Tower (New York),

and several presidents and monarchs around the world.

They have taken commissions from several important collections and

have worked in conjunction with gun making companies such as SIG,

Holland & Holland, Beretta, J.P. Sauer & Sohn, Korth, Merkel, Weatherby, Rigby,

Blaser, Swiss Arms; and with other companies such as William & Son London, Giberg London,

IWC Switzerland, Daniel Roth Switzerland, Reuge Switzerland and Asprey London.

Each piece undertaken by them is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and

design and demonstrates a deep understanding of the philosophical,

historical and social heritage of its ultimate destination.
